Stephanie Kate has always had an imaginative and energetic personality. This becomes greater with every dress she designs. She has always had a natural ability to work with materials and create something beautiful using her creative mind and talent.

 

From the age of 5, Stephanie has been designing and hand sewing dresses. She was self taught and later went to study and work in all art & design areas.

Stephanie describes every gown she creates as a work of art- individual, unique and exclusive.

Stephanie studied fashion and textiles for many years, receiving a Distinction in her foundation degree, advancing her natural skills. She received her BA hons degree in fashion design at Nottingham Trent University, working specifically on alternative wedding dresses.

After her University final collection show, Stephanie was approached to do a work placement with Angela Vickers of Nottingham, who specialised in bespoke bridal gowns. I had admired Angela and her exquisite gowns for many years and this was just an honour. 

It was after her final degree show Stephanie was also approached by her first wonderful client to make a  stunning gold bespoke Wedding Dress, and here Stephanie Kate Bridal Couture was born.

Stephanie has been designing & hand making bespoke gowns for over 10 years.

Stephanie Kate offers each bride the couture alternative to the off-the-shelf wedding dress.

Stephanie adores working with her brides and offers her expertise and opinion to each client in the calm, inspiring design studio.

Whether it’s subtle or dramatic, contemporary or extravagant, Stephanie will take the personal qualities of each and every bride, from style and design,  materials and colour to fit and comfort.
